BRE Bank Group's annual report ranked number one again

For the third time the annual report of the BRE Bank Group has received the first prize among the financial institutions in The Best Annual Report competition, organised by the Institute of Accounting and Taxes. Listed companies which prepare consolidated financial reports in accordance with IFRS participated in "The Best Annual Report 2009" competition for the best annual report according to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). The consolidated annual report of the BRE Bank Group for 2009 won first place in "banks and financial institutions" category, receiving 82.84 points out of 100 possible. BRE Bank was ranked highest in the financial institutions category in 3 out of 5 editions of the competition (in 2006 and in 2007). In the competition for 2008 BRE won second place. Moreover, the consolidated financial report of the BRE Bank Group for 2005 received a distinction for the most effective application of IFRS. "The Best Annual Report” competition is aimed at setting standards for drawing up annual reports which will be acknowledged by the market. The standards should be compliant with IFRS and follow the recommendations and good practices in that scope. The competition, therefore, promotes reports with the highest value for end users: shareholders and investors. Experts of the jury assess: report on activities (30 points), application of the IFRS/IAS (40 points) and utility value of the annual reports (30 points).
