Bloomberg’s assessment of our gender equality measures continues to improve

The Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index (GEI) tracks the performance of public companies committed to disclosing their efforts to support gender equality in the workplace. In the latest report we achieved a higher score than in the previous years. mBank adopted the Diversity and Inclusion Policy in 2022. We carry out regular activities aimed at meeting its objectives.

We were featured on this year’s Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index (GEI) for the third time in a row. We registered a significantly better score in the categories related to the gender pay gap and inclusive work culture. The recognition from independent experts proves that we are on the right track.

Our ambition is to make mBank a workplace where everyone feels comfortable and respected, develops professionally and gets involved in the company’s development. We also strive to provide equal opportunities to all our employees. We are currently focusing on:

  • raising our employees’ awareness (our diversity and inclusion training has been completed by more than 1,700 people so far),
  • ensuring gender neutrality of our internal processes,
  • employing more people with disabilities,
  • preventing discrimination and exclusion.

mBank was included on the 2022 Diversity IN Check list. It recognises Poland’s most advanced companies in managing diversity and building inclusion. The list was compiled by the Responsible Business Forum, the coordinator of the Diversity Charter, which was signed by mBank in 2018.

Bloomberg GEI analyses the results of listed companies whose value exceeds USD 1 billion. The index measures gender equality in five areas: female leadership and talent pipeline, equal pay and gender pay parity, inclusive culture, anti-sexual harassment policies and pro-women brand. This prestigious index only includes companies that scored above a specified threshold. mBank is one of the 484 companies from 45 countries that were recognised in this year’s edition.
