New currency pair: HRK/PLN

As of 25 June 2018 mBank will start settling operations in a new currency: Croatian kuna (HRK). The currency will serve as a transactional currency for outgoing and incoming foreign payments, including internal transfers in foreign currencies.

The Croatian kuna is subject to the Act on Payment Services (UUP), which means that within the European Union and the EFTA foreign payments are only made in the URGENT mode (D+1). When instructing a transaction in the new currency, please give the account number in the IBAN standard to mitigate the risk that the transaction will fail.

You can also open a bank account in HRK. Such accounts are parameterized in accordance with the standards for foreign currencies, i.e. positive balance bears interest of 0.00% p.a. and negative balance bears interest of 5.00% p.a.
