Dr. Hans-Georg Beyer, as a Divisional Board Member of Commerzbank, is responsible for Group Credit Risk Management. In this role, he oversees credit risk management for performing and non-performing exposures across corporate clients, non-bank financial institutions and financial institutions globally.
His career within the Commerzbank Group spans senior leadership roles in credit risk, compliance and internal audit. Before assuming his current role as Chief Credit Risk Officer Corporate Clients, he served as Group Chief Compliance Officer, responsible for all compliance units across Commerzbank Group, including foreign branches and subsidiaries.
His academic background includes Business Economics and General Management at Witten/Herdecke University and International Finance at SKEMA Business School. In 2020, he earned his PhD from the University of St. Gallen (HSG) with a doctoral thesis on risk governance at board level in European banks. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst.
