We are amending the Description of forward transactions of sale of greenhouse gas emission allowances with cash settlement option. We are renaming the document to: Description of Transactions in CO2 allowances ('Transaction Description').
The most important changes include:
withdrawing the cash settlement option - transactions will be settled exclusively in the form of a transfer of allowances,
renaming the product - in the transition period (until 1 May 2023), both the new and the former name can be used,
introducing editorial changes, making the document easier to understand and more reader friendly in terms of content and presentation
We encourage you to read the new Transaction Description, which will enter into force on 1 May 2023.
