Amendments to the Regulations on Opening, Holding and Closing an Integrated Bank Account at mBank and the Regulations on Opening, Holding and Closing Bank Accounts at mBank
On 20 July 2026,:
we are amending the Regulations on Opening, Holding and Closing an Integrated Bank Account at mBank S.A. (“IBAA Regulations”) and the Regulations on Opening, Holding and Closing Bank Accounts at mBank S.A. (“Regulations on Bank Accounts”).
In Part I of the IBAA Regulations and of the Regulations on Bank Accounts:
we inform the customers that we may partially restrict or prevent them from accessing or using the funds in the account on the basis of:
- a written notification by a court enforcement officer or administrative enforcement authority of the seizure of a monetary claim, or
- a decision or order of a competent state authority (Article 31 of the IBAA Regulations; Article 32 of the Regulations on Bank Accounts),we added a provision stipulating that in the Framework Agreement we may agree that it will continue to apply after the termination of the IBAA agreement (Article 59 of the IBAA Regulations; Article 58 of the Regulations on Bank Accounts),
we adjusted the complaint-related provisions to new laws. These changes apply only to the customers covered by the Act on Handling Complaints by Financial Market Entities. In this regard, we clarified the channels for submitting complaints and providing replies (Article 78).
We also amended Appendix No. 2 to the Regulations “Rules for Executing Payments at mBank” by way of:
updating the rules for executing payment orders by payment service providers and their agents. These changes are connected with the Polish Bank Association’s update of the Harmonised Standard for Encoding Information Accompanying Transfers in the Context of Services Provided to Non-Bank Payment Institutions,
adding a provision regarding a mechanism for identifying accounts in the currency of incoming transfers for incoming Express Elixir transfers,
supplementing the provisions on the exchange rates we use when executing transfers,
adding SEPA Instant transfer execution rules for the Collect product, which will be effective from 9 January 2027.
