Clean Up The World with Our Earth Foundation
mBank’s employees have joined the ranks of almost 40 million volunteers from over 40 countries around the world participating in the Clean Up The World initiative. In Poland, the campaign is organised by the Our Earth Foundation (Fundacja Nasza Ziemia).
Our Earth Foundation has focused on environmental and citizenship education for nearly 30 years. It is the official organiser of the global Clean Up The World initiative in Poland. The goal of the programme is to promote anti-littering, provide waste education and initiate actions reducing our negative impact on the environment.
This year, the Clean Up The World initiative takes place for the 30th time. The campaign started on the Earth Day and it will end with the grand finale on the third weekend of September (16-17 September 2023). During this time, teams across the country are cleaning up forests, parks, areas around rivers and lakes, etc. Last year, volunteers from Poland collected 442 tonnes of waste.
Clean Up The World is an important campaign, which is why we included it in our ESG Strategy for 2021-2025 as part of the objective 'Building an ESG-oriented corporate culture'. We encourage our employees to get involved in the action and build teams. It is a great opportunity not only to raise environmental awareness, but also to integrate, connect with each other and develop cooperation.
