BRE Bank was awarded twice at Friday's gala of the 8th edition of "The Best Annual Report 2012" contest (18 October). The bank came first in the "on-line financial report" category and won a prestigious award for the best annual report 2012 - "The Best of the Best".The competition, organised by IRiP, aims at establishing market-wide standards of preparing annual reports under the IFRS and in accordance with recommendations and good practices in this regard, an thus at promoting such annual reports that deliver the highest practical value to shareholders and investors. It is not the first award won by the bank in the annual contest. So far, the bank has climbed on the top step of the podium four times in the category of financial institutions (1st place for 2006, 2007 and 2009 annual reports - "The Best Annual Report 2006", "The Best Annual Report 2007", and "The Best Annual Report 2009"; in 2010 BRE won a special award "The Best of the Best"). Moreover, the annual consolidated financial statements of BRE Bank Group for 2005 were appreciated for the best application of the IFRS. In last year's edition, we ranked second in the category "Banks and financial institutions" and won a distinction in the "on-line financial report" category.  BRE Bank's annual report prepared for the stock exchange is a result of joint efforts of a large group of people. The leading rolein its preparation is played by the Financial Reporting Department, which is responsible for a major part of the financial statements and coordinates the work of other units of the Finance Line, Risk Line and other business areas of the bank, and Investor Relations Department responsible for preparing the Management Board's report. Moreover, Investor Relations Department supported by Communication and Marketing Strategy Department had prepared awarded on-line annual report, which includes BRE Analizer - innovative solution on Polish market, that allows users to analyze and adjust the financial and business data of BRE Bank Group in a variety of sizes. Just like in the previous years, the Investor Relations Department was responsible for preparing the Management Board's report. The graphic layout and the on-line version of the report were designed by the Communication and Marketing Strategy Department.
