Changes in the manner of making transfers to the Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) in the form of SWIFT MT101 messages

Dear Sir/Madam,

in connection with the entry into force of the Act of 11 May 2017 amending the Act on the Social Insurance System, the Labour Code and some other acts, please be informed that starting from 1 January 2018 the rules for the transfer of contributions to ZUS change.
Pursuant to the aforesaid amendments, by 31 December 2017, the Social Insurance Institution will assign each contribution payer a new unique banking account to make all contributions - the so-called “individual contribution account”.
As of 1 January 2018 all the contributions, regardless of the month and the insurance/fund they apply to, will be settled by the entrepreneur with one payment in the form of a single domestic transfer in PLN into his/her contribution account. Execution of such a transfer is possible only from accounts maintained with mBank S.A. in PLN currency. Funds transferred into the contribution account will be allocated by ZUS and booked into the payer’s account in accordance with the relevant contributions.
If by the end of 2017 the payer of ZUS contributions is not informed about the contribution account number, he/she should visit a ZUS branch or contact its Customer Centre - phone no: +48 22 560 16 00 - to obtain this information.
Each individual account number of a social contribution payer will comprise the following:

Please note that the cut-off time for payment orders to ZUS, received in the form of SWIFT MT101 messages, is 3:00 pm.
